New Dominion Middle School Participates in the Hour of Code

The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Week and Code.org that reaches tens of millions of students in over 180 countries. Not in a Galaxy Far Far Away, but at New Dominion Middle School, Ms. Truglio and Ms. Finch's science students participated in code.org's Star Wars Hour of Code.  Students started coding with blockely and then progressed to javascript.  They also learned to code so that a user could use the up, down, left, and right arrows and learned all the skills needed to create their own computer game.  Learn more about coding at https://code.org/.

...And Another Big Thank You for Our Business Support!
New Dominion Alternative School would like to thank Mark Kowalewski for his generous donation.  Ten brand new NCAA Basketballs and an electric pump were donated by Mark Kowalewski,  local firefighter and the Director of Sales for DiscoverPWM.com.  We are not sure who was more excited about the gift, Mr. Kowalewski, or the students here at New Dominion. This is greatly appreciated.

New Dominion is recognized for helping save PWCS money and for helping save the environment.  Read more here.
